NZ Potters 55th National Exhibition

NZP 55th National Exhibition - Christchurch May 2014

This year the 55th National Exhibition of NZ Potters will be held at the Canterbury Museum in Christchurch from May 15 - 25 2014.

The opening night will be in the Visitors' Lounge, Canterbury Museum, Wednesday May 14th at 6.00pm.

Premier awards of $1,000 will be awarded for functional and non-functional work, and two Merit Awards of $500 in each category. Other awards are still being negotiated. 

Exhibition Calendar

April 24 Thursday 9am to 2pm

Receiving days for all work at Canterbury Potters Assn 395 Memorial Avenue, Christchurch
April 25 Friday Selection day
April 26 Saturday Accepted/unselected slips posted out
April  28 Monday 10-12am Personal pickup of unselected work
May 14 Exhibition opening 6pm
May 15th-25th Exhibition public open, Visitors lounge Canterbury Museum, Rolleston Ave 9am 5pm every day
May 25th Sunday Exhibition closes 3pm, personal pickup from 3 to 4.30pm from exhibition venue
May 31st Saturday All uncollected and unsold work couriered back to exhibitors or available for pickup at CPA workshop 10am -12pm

Ceramics Association of New Zealand

Registered as an incorporated society in 1965 by an enthusiastic group of potters in Wellington, New Zealand, Ceramics NZ has grown to become a significant international voice in New Zealand ceramics. The affiliation of about three dozen independent pottery clubs throughout New Zealand together with a number of corporate businesses greatly increases its effective membership. We are a national, not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of practising potters and ceramicists, students of ceramics and all those interested in New Zealand ceramics. We actively support and promote quality, and we encourage and support specialist ceramics education nationally.
