Events for Humble: the life of 100 small objects, an exhibition showcasing part of the Library’s treasured Ephemera Collection. The events will focus on the design and production of ephemera and its uses for researchers today.

The visual language of ephemera
Dr Polly Cantlon will discuss the conventions designers have used over the centuries to develop the visual language of ephemera (using examples from the exhibition) then consider the work of one designer of ephemera of national importance, Robert Hawcridge (1865-1920).
