Update: Public Services

DIA’s public counter for Passports, Citizenship and Births, Deaths and Marriages enquiries is currently at the National Library building, lower ground floor, corner Molesworth & Aitken St, Wellington.

Opening hours – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, except Wednesdays, when it is open 9am to 5pm (excluding public holidays).

Archives New Zealand's Wellington building (Mulgrave Street) is open to the public. Archives regional offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin are open as usual.
