Queer Selfies!

Posted in: Movies

Robyn Paterson and Paula Boock need your help with their cool project Queer Selfies, where they are making a very short documentary which is totally participant-controlled.

The creative couple’s project is one of ten selected for Loading Docs, an initiative featuring a series of three minute films.

They need people to get involved with crowd-funding to hit the $2,000 they still need - and also by being part of the project at their video booth at the Big Gay Out on Sunday, making a short selfie video about what ‘home’ means.

They believe what the media shows of the queer community is often pretty selective, and their project is about the subjects controlling their own image.

“For the first time we’re working together on a project,” Paterson says in their introduction video. “And we’re going to try really, really hard not to get divorced,” Boock chips in.
