Q-YOUTH
Q-Youth is a Nelson based organisation that provides support, information, advocacy and education for queer*
young people, their friends and families. We offer services in the Nelson/Tasman region. Our groups and events are open to all young people up to the age of 27 as we are a queer/straight alliance.
We have two main groups that meet
every week at our drop-in centre, located at
121 Trafalgar St, (corner of New and Trafalgar streets). Opposite the Powerstore on the second floor via stairs.
• Under The Rainbow
This is a social support group for high-
school students and anyone up until the
age of 27. We hold weekly drop-in
meetings on Wednesdays from 4-6pm at
our Nelson drop-in centre.
• Change-Makers
This is a project orientated group.
Anyone is welcome to come along to this
group, held every Tuesday from 4:30-
6:30pm at our Nelson drop-in centre.
• Gender Queery
This is a social support group for those
who identify as transgender, fa'afafine,
whakawhine, tangata ira tane, intersex,
two-spirits, genderqueer, non-gendered,
questioning and their friends and families,
but we welcome anyone who is interested
in discussing all things gender in a safe
space. This is currently being held
monthly, during the tuesday session.

represents sexuality and gender
diversity. We use it to encompass
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,
intersex, pansexual, asexual,
genderqueer, fa'afafine and takataapui
identities, as well as everyone in between

Tahuna Bad Girls Soccer
The Bad Girls are a group of Lesbian women (and Friends) who play in the local 2nd division soccer draw. We need supporters and more players URGENTLY!!! Call to find out where the games are held each week. Anyone is welcome!

Bad Girls Pool Nights
The Tahuna Bad Girls, a Lesbian & friends soccer team, play in the local women's pool competitions once a week. Women (and friends) are always warmly welcomed into this relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Supporters are neede as much as players! Git up there gals!!!
Every Thursday - 8pm til laaaate. ($2-3 pool)
