Learning objectives:
The basics of Gender, Sex and Sexuality
- Gain and understanding of the basic concepts around gender, sex and sexuality.
- Gain the ability to recognise the norms society creates around masculinity and femininity and the effects/consequences of these norms.
- Be able to analyse varied views around gender, sex and sexuality diverse people, and explain how norms about masculinity and femininity inform these views.
Our educators will:
- Introduce RainbowYOUTH & our services
- Set classroom boundaries to ensure all student beliefs are respected
- Ground the material in expertise and knowledge of LGBTIQ issues in Aotearoa
- Answer any questions students have
- Connect students who need support with appropriate services
Length of session:
1 hour / one average class period.
Price:
