Hearing process

Once a claim is filed

You and the other parties will be sent a notice telling you the time, date and venue of the hearing. The following pages outline how the case will move through the Tribunal:

  • Responding to a claim - what to do if a claim has been made against you.
  • Attending a hearing - preparing for a hearing; requesting interpreters and teleconferences; who can attend; and what to expect at the hearing.

After the hearing

The Referee will make an order or approve an agreed settlement, and provide written reasons for their decision. The following pages outline the next steps:
