Standing Orders of the House of Representatives are the rules of procedure for the House and its committees.
Rulings from the Speaker show how the Standing Orders have been applied and interpreted. Significant rulings made since 1867 are published as Speakers’ Rulings.
From time to time the House makes orders that supplement or suspend Standing Orders in the current session of Parliament. They should be read alongside the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives.
