Volunteer for Chinese Lifeline

If you live in the Auckland region and want to make a difference in your community why not consider becoming a volunteer telephone counsellor with Chinese Lifeline?

You will need to be prepared to work hard at learning new counselling skills and be interested in your own personal growth. You will also need to be prepared to make a firm commitment to Chinese Lifeline.  You must be fluent in either Mandarin and/or Cantonese, however have a good level of written and spoken English as you will need to write notes in English.

No specific educational qualifications are required, however an attitude of acceptance, compassion and sensitivity are essential.  Lifeline New Zealand provides comprehensive volunteer training and ongoing support and supervision.
