Leaving high school means leaving your comfort zone. You might be saying goodbye to the teachers and classmates you know and 'kia ora' to a whole lot of new things. It’s a big time in your life and there are probably heaps of mixed feelings flying round in your head.
For the first time, your life isn’t going to be all laid out for you. The freedom is awesome but it can be scary deciding what to do next too.
Study? Gap year? OE? Mahi/work?
If you’re really stressed right now it’s probably because a few things are still up in the air. And if your family is putting extra pressure on you that can make it even harder.
You might also be worried or down because you’ll be leaving friends and things that you know behind. This sense of loss is normal. Also, if you’re feeling unconfident, just remember there was a time when high school was new and scary. You’ll get used to whatever’s next, just give it some time.
