Those who lost relatives and friends in the 22 February earthquake can be assured that there will be a very thorough inquiry into the failure of buildings that resulted in loss of life.

Hearings About Other Buildings (Except CTV and PGC) Whose Failure Resulted in Loss of Life (Week 5)

The week beginning 27 February 2012 and also on 15 March 2012 the Commission held public hearings about the following individual buildings whose failure resuled in loss of life:

  • 43 Lichfield Street;
  • 265-271 Manchester Street (173 Gloucester Street);
  • 753-759 Colombo Street; and
  • 738 Colombo Street.
