Page summaries in English and te reo Māori

All pages contain summaries that introduce content in clear, easy to understand language. Summaries are available in te reo Māori and English. We are working to introduce fully bilingual content across the website.

Alternative formats of web content

We are aware of accessibility problems for some users who wish to access content such as images, video and sound through the web.

We hold millions of collection items that have been produced by other organisations. Some of these were not necessarily provided in accessible formats. We aim to provide other formats for web content wherever possible. If you are having trouble accessing content on this site, please contact us to see how we can help.

Glossary definitions

Librarians love words, so we have produced a glossary of terms and acronyms that we use on this site. A double underline indicates a glossary term you can click on to learn more about.
