There are plenty of out candidates running in the General Election this month and we are profiling some you may not know well yet with a Q&A session. Here is Rangitikei independent candidate Grant Seton.

What have you done as a career outside Parliament?
Public (including Housing & Broadcast sectors) and Private (including Tech & Broadcast sectors)

What made you want to get into politics?
Disappointing delivery [& cost] results by the two main parties (and in the Local Govt sector) over the past 28 years of observation and analysis.

Why did you choose your party?
I'm an Independent Candidate, your Voice to remedy the Issues.

Who are some of your heroes?
Here's one of many I recognise: New Zealand's heroes hurt by terrorism (pirates), e.g. Sir Peter Blake. I was wearing Red Socks in honour of him at the one and only Candidates meeting.

What do you think are the biggest issues for glbti New Zealanders right now?
The maintaining of our laws that should not be eroded by imported notions and imported extremists.

What will you do, if elected, to change these situations?
The public sector needs to really take a good look at itself. Is the public sector losing its way?

What will you be doing on election night?
Yet to be determined. Should I drive to the top of the Rangitikei Electorate, Taumarunui, or the bot of the RE, e.g. Aokautere, Summerhill or Turitea or even Linton Camp? Readers, give me an idea! :)

How can people contact you if they want to chat about issues they are concerned about?
Txt&Phn 0274154970 or www.gseton.com and follow/join twitter.
