  • Daniel Hayek staff 2 years ago
Crashed by Stereofloat. For some reason the audio came out with a bunch of distortion, oh well no big deal.
  • Luis Caldevilla plus 2 years ago
    It`s Vimeo. You know :)
  • Daniel Hayek staff 2 years ago
Actually the source file has distortion so it wasn't Vimeo.

Xcellent work! How long did it take to put this together?
  • Daniel Hayek staff 2 years ago
About 15- 20 minutes of shooting and then about 25 minutes of editing and negotiating with Final Cut Pro.
  • 'Negotiating'. I like it.

  • That sure is a lot of jumping... You guys must've been exhausted!

I always like seeing stop animation. One day I will get around to making one. They seem like oodles of fun and a totally sick product in the end.

I so want to work in this office so I can high five people while we float. The only thing better would be a post-floating milk shake please.
  • Daniel Hayek staff 2 years ago
Ha ha. We always recommend that milk shakes be consumed post floating high fives.

Love this video! I tried to do a similar thing with a group of models for a vid going to Milan Fashion week and every one thought I was off my rocker... Alas it was axed.. but should upload the footage... What is the skipping frame action under in FCP?
  • Daniel Hayek staff 2 years ago
    Thanks Harriet,

There's no frame skipping as this was all a series of stills, Just imported an image sequence and added music.

i too love it, like many other before me.

so, let me get this straight, you just said "1, 2, 3, jump!" and snapped a still each time? no timers involved?

that's pretty insane but ingeniously simple. i just assumed you photoshopped each image before loading it into FCP.

    cool stuff.
  • Daniel Hayek staff 1 year ago
Yup no timers or photoshopping, thanks for your nice comment :)

sort of a similar idea in a dance by David Parsons called Caught. The dancer triggers strobes with a switch he holds and then is seen only in the air. Nice video. youtube.com/watch?v=JfVXRn6dNJ0
