Ordering Archives

There are multiple ways in which you can order and access records held at Archives New Zealand. Whether you are ordering in one of our four reading rooms, pre-ordering before your visit or if you want a copy of an archive, Archives New Zealand can help make the process quick and easy.

When you Visit our Reading Rooms understanding the ordering and retrieval procedures in our reading rooms will enable you to effectively plan your time and will give you an insight into how the Archives New Zealand Archival system operates.

Please remember that timeframes will vary between our regional offices and in times of high demand.
