Vanity Rules

Hello world!

Posted by: un-pc lesbian

Or to be more exact Hello Gaynz’ers. Welcome to the world of un-pcLesbian. As Kitten Power has now joined the ranks of those who report here and can no longer hold an opinion, I have put my hand up to become the lone voice of Dykedom in this arena. I will qualify that however by saying that though I am a voice of Dykedom, I in no way profess to speak for all that is lesbian, but will be blogging my opinions from the centre of the universe that is mine.

I’ve been in the blog world for a few years now and my home blog is here. I will continue to blog there as that is my personal venue, so if you wish to read about my workouts, or latest form of child abuse, or catch up on the “is Jillian Michaels a lesbian” debate, I will still be prattling on over there. This arena is for other topics possibly not quite so shallow. OMG, that last sentence implies that I may actually have to think of something intelligent to say, damn, that’s gonna totally blow my carefully cultivated deeply shallow façade. (and yes putting the cedilla in there is an indication of how anal one can be)

This post is just by way of an introduction, and also to help me get my head around this software, which appears to contain much too much use of the dreaded html for this brain, but one will of course attempt to master it. So as part of the “learning how this works” process I have attempted to upload a video, which I won’t be able to tell is successful or not till I hit the publish button. Hopefully it is, and though it is a very VERY old tune, she’s still hot. Sigh, wish I could sing like that.

Welcome aboard ! It’s usually fun being here (apart from the few nutters, but hey, blogging gets that)

Ellen Foley is great - I love her “Spirit of St Louis” album - one of the forgotten masterpieces of the 80s.

awwww thanks everyone. I’m sure the handbag will get a wee feature one day, it hates to miss out!! It’s trying to demand it’s own seat at the Quentin Crisp movie on Thursday, damn demanding handbag!! Think it must be femme.

Yes! The bag! It has a whole new audience!
Now that I think about it, your alternative blog title may have been a good one, but we shall see ;)

Ellen Foley, Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler - I think they must all be related….

  • 11 un-pc lesbian // Jun 2, 2010 at 6:43 pm

Party’s with you Stirling? Only if there are no media darlings involved!

Tuffgirlie…hmmmm now can anyone remember the name of the girl who took Ellen Foley’s place on the tour???
