PFLAG Same-Difference
PFLAG Same-Difference is being run as a joint project between PFLAG South and Youthline Otago. Same-Difference is a support and social activities group for people 20 and under who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, takataapui, intersex or who are questioning their sexual orientation, gender identity or sex.
It operates in two ways: a social coffee group, and a more social structured group.
COFFEE GROUP:
The Same-Difference coffee group runs every 3rd Friday of the month from 5.30-7.30 at a local café. It's open to queer and questioning youth, their friends and family. The coffee group is an unstructured informal space where youth can socialise.
SAME-DIFFERENCE GROUP:
The Same-Difference group happens the first Friday of every month, from 5.30-7.30 This group is specifically for queer and questioning youth 20 and under. It is a more structured group that encourages commitment from the group to attend each session. It's a chance to get together and discuss things that interest queer youth, have a sense of community, meet new people, and offer peer support.
