Queer4Shore (North Shore-based)

We're back!

What is this group?

Queer4Shore! Rainbow Youth's North Shore group aims to provide supportive social contact outside of a night club environment, for high school and tertiary aged youth up to 27 years old.

When do we meet?

The group runs between 4pm and 6pm every 2nd Friday (alternate to GQ meetings).

Where do we meet?

Please check the Facebook group:

for our current location, as we are having to move at present!

Look for the youngish group of peeps, otherwise ask cafe staff for the right group.

Duncan and Holly are our two awesome facilitators.

We're always looking for people to train to be new facilitators to help run our groups. Being a facilitator is a great way to volunteer your time for Rainbow Youth. Contact us if you're interested in being a facilitator.

What we mean when we say queer

A reclaimed word that represents sexuality and gender diversity. We use it to encompass lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, fa'afafine, and takataapui identities, as well as everyone in between and not sure. This word is used by many people, but it is also appreciated that it is not the preferred term for everybody.
