Priscilla on Homophobia in Tauranga, BOP
Priscilla, the Rainbow Youth education coordinator was interviewed recently and you may of seen her on the front cover of the Bay of Plenty Times.
Having grown up in Tauranga, she was asked whether she found it homophobic. It was in reaction to the Shortland Street episodes that talked about a lesbian’s fear of coming out to her family in Tauranga.
This article highlights the need for queer resources in Tauranga.
Bullying Forum - Rainbow Youth Education
While Priscilla (Education Co-ordinator) was at the Bullying Forum put on by the Mental Health Foundation she was interviewed about the Education work that she does across Auckland and in High Schools.

Youth '07 Report
Rainbow Youth and the New Zealand AIDS Foundation celebrated the launch of the report - Youth’07 The Health and Wellbeing of Secondary School Students in New Zealand: Results for Young People Attracted to the Same Sex of Both Sexes - on Tuesday 20th October as part of the very first SYHPANZ forum. The forum focused on the needs of young same-sex and both-sex attracted youth and queer young people.
