Since becoming a part of Government, we have had influence far beyond our numbers.

The most recent example of this was the announcement of the establishment of the 2025 Taskforce, which will recommend ways to increase productivity in order to close the income gap with Australia by 2025.

The taskforce was a key component in the ACT-National Confidence and Supply Agreement. But the achievements don’t end there.

One Auckland, the review of eleven major regulations, the select committee inquiry into the Emissions Trading Scheme, the ‘Three Strikes’ bill… just a few examples of what a difference ACT’s five MPs have made.

And all this after just nine months.

ACT’s conferences are always interesting, informative and fun. Find out why on September 12 at the 2009 Auckland North Conference.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Hon. Rodney Hide MP
