Wigs on the Waterfront caught on camera

For those of you who didn't Drag yourself down to Auckland's Viaduct Harbour for Sunday's Wigs on the Waterfront, here's our video highlights.

Hosts Miss Mole, Miss Ribena, Buckwheat and Miss K introduced a colourful collection of talent to the stage including live singers, diva lipsyncers, comedy acts, giveaways, and - but wait there's more - Suzanne Paul.

Several painstaking minutes had been spent perusing the aisles at the $2 Shop to deck out the stage in pink frilly, feathery and sparkly stuff.

Some audience members bravely asked Miss Mole if she'd knitted her canary yellow one-piece creation herself. "Good heavens no," she replied, "I had this on Lay-By for months at my local Op-Shop. It was $8.50!"

Daphne Bush wore her wedding dress again for her Going to the Chapel number, but alas, no-one had the heart to tell her that a groom hasn't been found yet.

There were loads of other highlights and a fabulous High School Musical-inspired closer by the Finale girls, which got many in the audience up and dancing.

The total money raised by this year's Wigs on the Waterfront for Breast Cancer NZ is still being counted, but in the meantime, enjoy our exciting video below!
