Two of Auckland's most popular drag entertainers will stage a "battle of the Egyptian Queens" at Good Friday's Easter Paradise party.
"The theme of the party is the seven deadly sins, so we're playing up to the sin of Lust," showgirl Tess Tickle tells GayNZ.com on her birthday today.
"Buckwheat and I will have a cast of ten boy and girl dancers as we tell our story of two Egyptian Queens' battle for lustful power."
This Friday's party will take over seven rooms at the newly renovated Studio venue in K' Road, each room representing a different 'sin' - Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride.
As well as the showgirl performers, a large line-up of DJ's are lined up, including Bevan Keys, Dick Johnson, Cyril Orson, Mauri, Alex Bull, DJ Dee, Leilani, Danielle, Babes!Babes!Babes!, Oscar Nutt, Samuel Holloway, Prince Diana And Charlie ASH.
Easter Paradise's promoters are certain the event will be the biggest gay party of the year. "Paradise opens its arms to the entire GLTB network. This event will be one staggeringly large, sweat and glitter coated, fabulous and beautiful Easter extravaganza," say the crew.
The Easter Paradise party is set to happen at Studio (340 K' Road) on Good Friday, 10 April, with tickets available on the link below, priced at $35 ($25 for students, $45 on the door).
