Example 1

A couple where both partners qualify for New Zealand Superannuation (estimated income of $24,456 in 2005/06), and with no other income, would be eligible for a rebate as shown below:

Example 2

A single person receiving New Zealand Superannuation, living alone (estimated income of $16,105 in 2005/06), and with no other income, would be eligible for a rebate as shown below:

Example 3
