Submit a notice
To submit a notice for publication you can email, fax or post the notice to the New Zealand Gazette Office with a covering letter setting out your requirements. See How to Contact Us for our contact details.

Please ensure that all dates, names and signatures are easy to read and all invoicing details are provided.

Notices will be published in the next available issue unless otherwise specified.

Deadlines
Each week the deadlines for submitting notices for publication are:
  • Commercial 12.00 midday Monday*
  • Government 12.00 midday Tuesday.
* If the Monday is a public holiday, then the deadline will be 12.00 midday on the last working day of the preceding week.

Cancel a notice
If you want to cancel a notice, please call the New Zealand Gazette Office immediately, then send us written confirmation.
  • The deadline for cancelling all notices is 12.00 midday Wednesday.
There is a cancellation fee of NZ$55.00 for all notices cancelled after being accepted for publication.

Notice conditions and charges
The standard rate for all notices in the New Zealand Gazette is 40c per word. This advertising rate is not negotiable. All rates are GST inclusive.
  • An invoice and a copy of your notice will be posted to you on the date of publication.
  • Customers will be invoiced in accordance with standard commercial practices.
  • Pay by cheque, direct debit or credit card (MasterCard and VISA only).
  • Cancellation fee of NZ$55.00 applies for every notice cancelled after acceptance for publication.
  • Late notices may be accepted at the discretion of the Publisher. A late fee of an extra 5c per word applies (i.e. total cost of 45c per word).
  • Payment terms: 30 days.
  • Overdue invoices. If an invoice is more than 60 days overdue then no new notices can be published for the client in question until full payment of the outstanding account is received.
