Compliance Investigations and Audits

Audit Checklist

This is the audit checklist used by a Gambling Inspector in addition to any other appropriate enquiries when conducting an audit of a club or society for compliance with the Gambling Act and other legal requirements. The Gambling Inspector will identify the appropriate scope of the audit.

e: This file is in Microsoft Excel 97 format.  If you do not own a copy of Microsoft Excel 97 or higher, you can download the Excel File Viewer from Microsoft for free - this lets you view, print and copy tables downloaded in Excel format. You may use it to export these files to another spreadsheet application.

Self-Assessment Checklist

We have prepared a checklist to provide clubs and societies with a tool to undertake a “self-assessment” of their compliance with the Gambling Act 2003, related regulations, Game Rules and basic licence conditions.

Please note that completion of the checklist does not limit the Secretary for Internal affairs or any Gambling Inspector in the exercise of their functions and powers under the Gambling Act 2003.

Cessation Audits

This information is to assist clubs and societies in the winding up of their gaming machine operations, and the subsequent audit of their final set of accounts.
