Cheque Payments for a New Zealand Marriage Licence or New Zealand Civil Union Licence



If you are applying for a New Zealand marriage licence or a New Zealand civil union licence and paying by cheque, please see the table below for who to make your cheque payable to. Who you make the cheque payable to depends on the Registry Office you intend to lodge your application at.

If you are in New Zealand and will lodge an application in person at one of the Registry Offices payment may be made by cheque, cash, New Zealand money order or, in most offices credit card and EFTPOS.

The contact details for your nearest Registry Office can be obtained by contacting us or contact the District Court for their addresses.
