Gaming Review Implementation

Background
On 18 October 2001 the Government announced key decisions on the Gaming Review. The announcement covered both transition issues up to the time of the enactment of the proposed Responsible Gambling Bill, and the features of the new regime to be put in place after enactment.

The Gaming Review Implementation programme (GRI) is designed to enable the Department of Internal Affairs to put in place changes to the regulatory regime for gaming, while meeting the requirements of current legislation through the transition period.
