Effectiveness for Maori - Te Papa Rautaki Maori

The Department has strategies in place to encourage effectiveness for Maori work place principles, led by Te Papa Rautaki Maori - the Effectiveness for Maori (EfM) unit. A major review in 2001-2002 resulted in Te Kaupapa Whakatikanga Rautaki Maori (Strategic Plan). The goal of the Strategic Plan for 2006-2009 is that by 2009, the Department of Internal Affairs will be recognised as a leader in managing for outcomes that assist whanau, iwi and Maori to achieve high-quality social, economic and cultural development goals.
