Blue Book - Recording hopper refills

Section 2.5 of the Gaming Machine Operations Manual ('The Blue Book')* sets out the requirements for recording hopper refills. It says that as a minimum, details of every refill must be recorded on the "Cash Clearance Details Report" for each machine. As an alternative to using the Cash Clearance Details Report, a combined Cancelled Credits, Short Pays and Refills Record form (ver 1.4(a))* has been introduced.

  • This means that there is now an option of being able to record refills either on the Cash Clearance Details Report or on the new form.
  • Some societies may decide to continue using the Cash Clearance Details Report, while others may prefer to use the new one. Whatever option is selected, however, it must be consistent on a site by site basis. It is not acceptable to record refills for some machines on one form, and others on another. Nor is it acceptable for source records of Cancelled Credits, hopper refills or cash clearances to be in any format other than for each individual machine.
  • To avoid confusion and the likelihood of errors or omissions, those societies wishing to adopt the new form should do so at the beginning of their next Monthly Machine Analysis accounting cycle to ensure consistency.
