Lottery General

The Lottery General committee funds projects of national, regional or local significance, and outdoor safety, education/training and search and rescue programmes which are outside the scope of other distribution committees.

Applications for the 2003-4 funding round of Lottery General have closed.

Before applying to Lottery General for funding, consider whether your project would not better suit a grant from any other Lottery distribution.

The Lottery General Committee meets four times a year. Closing dates for applications are three months before each meeting. Check here for application closing dates and Distribution Committee meeting dates for 2003.

Application forms for Lottery General grants are available from your nearest Community Development office, by email lotterygrants@dia.govt.nz or freephone (in New Zealand) 0800 824 824. They come in a folder that will help you decide whether you could be eligible, with a guide to help you answer the questions. Complete the application form using a pen or typewriter, and return by mail to: Lottery Grants, Department of Internal Affairs, PO Box 805, Wellington.

For more information and application details, Email: lotterygrants@dia.govt.nz or Freephone 0800 824 824 (New Zealand only).
