Gazetted Casino Game Rules

Rules of Games

The Casino Control Authority makes rules prescribing games that may be conducted in a casino. Under the Act these rules must be published in the New Zealand Gazette (s 63 Casino Control Act 1990.)

These rules can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat pdf format, and further information on the notfication of approval of casino games and rules is available from the Casino Control Authority.

The rules are also available in the casinos.

The rules applicable to electronic gaming machines provide that the machines must have a theoretical and demonstrable return to the public of not less than 87%.

When there is any dispute regarding rules of games, the rules, as published in the New Zealand Gazette take precedence as the official version of rules.
