Blue Pages - Nga Wharangi Kikorangi

Blue Pages is the government section in the front of the telephone book, providing comprehensive yet easy-to-find listings of government information. Blue Pages was established to help build stronger communities by making it as easy as possible for the public to access government information and services.

Blue Pages contain the following sections:

  • Index of Government Services— provides keywords of government services, and says which government agency provides those services.
  • Bulletin Board—detailed listing of information about specific activities of the government, including web address, e-mail address and call-free numbers.
  • Local Government Services—services offered by each local authority in the region covered by that phone book and how to access them.
  • The Government Phone Listings—government agency phone and contact listings.

Recent surveys show that:
  • more than two million people over the age of 15 have used Blue Pages
  • more than 85 percent of people find it useful.
Blue Pages are updated annually to provide the most relevant information you can find about who does what in your government.
